Group Leaders: Estee Glikman and Alaina DiBlasi

Minimum Commitment: 8 weeks

Grounded in Your Body is a virtual trauma-informed outpatient yoga group offered by Well Behavioral Health. Using a somatic, choice-based framework, the group helps participants build a safer and more trusting relationship with their bodies, one session at a time. Light chakra themes are woven through as accessible metaphors for inner experience. No yoga experience or spiritual background is required or assumed.

The group accepts rolling admission, so new participants can join at the start of any cycle. Each 8-week cycle opens with a grounding phase that welcomes everyone, new and returning, back to the foundation. No prior attendance is required, and participants are encouraged to complete a full 8-week commitment to experience the full arc of the curriculum.

How the 8 Week Cycle Works

Safety and Grounding

Settling the nervous system and establishing what feels stead

Awareness and Connection

Noticing sensation and building a working vocabulary for it.

Integration

Bringing what surfaces into practices you can repeat

Empowerment and Closure

Consolidating tools and closing the cycle on your own terms.

Who This Group Is For

Adults navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, PTSD, eating disorder recovery, or chronic disconnection from the body. It’s a complement to individual therapy and psychiatric care, not a replacement. No yoga experience or spiritual background required.

  •  No yoga experience or spiritual background is required or assumed.
  •  Chair, floor, and standing options are available throughout. Every pose has a chair option.
  •  Cameras stay on for group connection and can be pointed away from the body at any time, no explanation needed.
  •  Every participant moves at their own pace, with no pressure to perform.
  •  New participants can join at the start of any cycle.

Not sure if this is the right fit? That’s a normal place to start. Reach out and we’ll talk through whether this group makes sense for where you are right now, or whether something else would serve you better. There’s no pressure to decide before you’ve had a conversation.
