Trauma Program

“One of the most incredible outpatient programs I have ever experienced as a client or in my own experience in the field. It was comprehensive, responsive, run by talented professionals who were both intentional and sincere in their approaches.”

Who We Help

We know that traumatic experiences, both big and small, can prevent you from engaging in a meaningful and joyful life. Our goal is to provide you with tools and skills that will help to settle and heal your nervous system, and to help you process and start to think differently about yourself, others, your past, and your future. We treat:

  • Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
  • Complex post-traumatic stress disorder (CPTSD)
  • Co-occurring Disorders
  • Dissociative Disorders

How We Help

Intensive Outpatient Trauma Treatment is a level of support that provides intensive treatment for various mental health issues without interrupting your daily living.

Unlike an inpatient or residential treatment program, where you leave your environment to go into a facility, our virtual intensive outpatient trauma treatment happens while you’re in the comfort of your own home. Sanctuary’s IOP runs 5 days a week, 3 hours a day.

Many people have school, work, and/or family commitments and cannot leave their environment to go away to treatment. Intensive outpatient trauma treatment programs are a fantastic way to get an intensive level of support while staying at home.

Curriculum combines top down & bottom up trauma treatment modalities including:

  • Body based skills development like Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) & Somatic Experiencing (SE)
  • Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT)
  • Skills for managing dissociative and trauma symptoms

Embodied Behavioral Resources Model (EBRM)

Sanctuary’s Embodied Behavioral Resources Model (EBRM) reflects our integrative approach to treating Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and related disorders. EBRM focuses on the complex and simulations interplay between the mind, nervous system, and the body to expand the capacity for healing from traumatic experiences.

Heal

Utilizing integrative body-focused therapies we support the healing of traumatized nervous systems.

Believe

Challenging beliefs born in trauma enables clients to see possibility & potential where they once found hopelessness & shame.

Connect

With increased awareness of internal experiences & knowledge of PTSD’s effects, our clients rebuild relationships with self & others while scaffolded in supportive community.

Thrive

Our patient centered approach helps Sanctuary clients plan and take values based action, increasing self esteem & building lives of meaning & purpose.

Why IOP?

An Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) offers short-term, focused support—typically over 4 to 12 weeks—that goes beyond what weekly therapy alone can provide. The skills and insights gained during this time lay a strong foundation for lasting progress in ongoing outpatient therapy, all while allowing individuals to stay connected to their daily routines.

An Intensive Outpatient Program is ideal for:

  • Creating expedited change with therapeutic support when weekly therapy isn’t enough.
  • Individuals motivated to work on unwanted thoughts, behaviors, or emotional patterns
  • Those needing greater support, structure, and accountability

Our IOPs are designed to fit into your life—with flexible and evening scheduling to support school, work, and family responsibilities. Whether you’re navigating a transition, feeling stuck in your current therapy, or simply ready to do deeper work, an IOP can help you build momentum, faster.
